Each year on June 29, the national holiday of La Fiesta de San Pedro, locals and tourists gather at the Haro Wine Festival in La Rioja, Spain, to splash wine on each other until everybody is soaked purple. They use their own shoes, buckets, pots and water pistols loaded with wine for the exuberant party.
